Supply Only Bedrooms: Increased turnover by 360% in 12 months

User-friendly online bedroom furniture specialist

Supply Only Bedrooms provides an internet-based service in the construction supply sector based on their expertise in self-assembly fitted bedroom furniture. With support from HOVIP, RCT Borough Council and a local web developer, the company has increased turnover by 360% in the last 12 months.

Introduction:

Established in 2008, Supply Only Bedrooms provides an internet-based service in the construction supply sector based on over 20 years experience in self-assembly fitted bedroom furniture. The business offers a wide range of contemporary or high gloss fitted bedrooms at competitive prices with standard or made-to-order combinations available. The user-friendly online selection and ordering system is backed up by a friendly team to advise and guide customers, taking the stress out of bedroom design and construction.

The Challenge:

Interest in the company's range of products and services was increasing steadily, however, a great deal of time was being taken up dealing with telephone enquiries. The challenge was to continue to generate a flow of visitors to the website and convert interest into orders as efficiently as possible. The aim was to maximise Internet interaction and minimise telephone and direct contact.

How HOVIP helped:

Specialist marketing support from HOVIP was provided to help create a streamlined, succinct and accessible website and online ordering system, as well as development of a focused, timely and targeted marketing strategy.

The starting point was a comprehensive review of the product/service portfolio to identify where to focus immediate attention and which areas were ripe for future development. Existing promotional activity was also reviewed and support to develop the website and online ordering facility was accessed through Rhondda Cynon Taff Borough Council. This enabled local web developer, Fairhill Solutions to work closely with Supply Only Bedrooms to maximise the website potential and expand and capitalise on the online activity. A marketing strategy template was provided together with a list of communications tools so that Supply Only Bedrooms could develop an effective strategy with advice and guidance from HOVIP.

Key Benefits:

  • The project has resulted in an increasing number of enquiries via the website and greater awareness of Supply Only Bedrooms across the UK both evidenced through the use of improved online analytics. The operational process is more streamlined and more efficient, and marketing budget is being used in a more targeted and effective way with increased results.
  • Managing Director Mike Shea explains, "The support we have had to consolidate our marketing and develop our website, the core of our business, has exceeded my expectations. As well as increasing our direct business by over 360% in the last 12 months, we are now part of the HOVIP Build4Wales cluster and are developing exciting new opportunities."
  • Indeed, Supply Only Bedrooms are discovering the power of collaboration and have already referred business to other members of the cluster from across the Valleys.
  • Mike Shea continues, "The simplicity of the HOVIP process and professionalism of all involved have been the main benefits. It would be foolhardy to ignore HOVIP's services as the benefits add real solutions to grow your company."
